N2  - Retrospektive Analyse des Patientenkollektives und der Behandlungsergebnisse von distalen Unterarmfrakturen im Wachstumsalter an der Klinik und Poliklinik für Kinderchirurgie Greifswald in den Jahren von 1998 bis 2007 Es wurde der Frage nachgegangen, ob dislozierte distale Unterarmfrakturen primär mit einer Osteosynthese versorgt werden sollten. Insgesamt geringe Anzahl an sekundären Dislokationen mit 12,7%. Hoher Anteil an primär osteosynthetisch versorgen Frakturen mit 37,7%. Komplikationen nach osteosynthetischer Versorgung sind sehr selten. Hohe Patientenzufriedenheit auch nach osteosynthetischer Versorgung. Die geschlossene Reposition ohne Osteosynthese ist weiterhin die Methode der Wahl. Der Einsatz einer Osteosynthese sollte stets geprüft und in Erwägung gezogen werden. Die Kirschnerdrahtfixation ist eine effektive und sichere Methode.
N2  - Retrospective analysis of treatment and results in growing children with distal forearm fractures admitted at the Department of Pediatric Surgery Greifswald in the years from 1998 to 2007. It was investigated if displaced distal forearm fractures should be supplied primarily with internal fixation. Overall we could show a low number of secondary dislocations of 12.7%. High proportion of primary care fractures treated with osteosynthesis with 37.7% was seen. Complications after osteosynthesis are very rare. The satisfaction of patients treated with osteosynthesis is high in the follow up. Closed reduction without internal fixation is still the method of choice. The use of internal fixation should always be reviewed and considered. The Kirschner wire fixation is an effective and safe method.
