N2  - The aim of this study was to analyse the localizing and lateralizing significance of the common ictal signs of temporal lobe seizures. We retrospectivly analyzed 70 seizures of 27 patients seizure free after epilepsy surgery. Only three symptoms had a lareralizing significance (aura, loss of consciousness, staring). In conclusion, alalyzing the ictal semiology is not a reliable method to localize the epileptogenic area.
