N2  - The key objective of this dissertation is to study the expected impact of the introduction of the Social Health Insurance (SHI) on the public hospital management and to develop recommendations that will improve this management. In addition to the key objective, this study aims to analyze the health sector financing in Syria, to outline problems affecting on management of public hospitals in Syria. Furthermore, it aims to study the various countries' experience with SHI and analyze key components of the Syrian SHI.
